Viva Pinata Television Commercial (via Avalanche087)
Hands down one of my favorite commercials of all time, and still has me thinking. I originally came across this spot while watching Cartoon Network one afternoon (a habit I don’t expect to ever change). While it can be argued that the best commercials target a clearly defined audience, some of my favorites take a different approach.
Now, I’m obviously not the key demo Viva Pinata was marketed to - and that’s exactly why I *love* this commercial. There’s a certain class of media created with the sole purpose of entertaining today’s youth, but that is careful to include treats for other demos that might be viewing also. This commercial is a great example of such - plug the kiddie game and throw in something for the parents as well (i.e. “That was acting, children!”).
